At Wood Shutters Direct we guarantee your product to be free of defects in workmanship and materials. Our 30 day warranty: If you are unsatisfied with the way your shutters arrive for any reason, please fill out and submit this defect form, then send the defective pair of shutters back in the original packaging and we will happily replace them with another pair of the same size. The defect form will trigger an order in our factory to manufacture and send you another pair of shutters of that size with the minimum turn around time possible. This minimizes your wait and reduces our overhead costs.
We strive to have a zero defect manufacturing process and take our defect investigations very seriously. When we receive the original shutters if we find them to be defective we will pick up the shipping costs for the entire exchange (and, obviously, the cost of the new shutters). Unfortunately, if we find the original shutters not to be defective, we cannot refund the shipping costs. We will send you a copy of our defect analysis either way.
If promptly painted and hung your wood shutters will last for years and years. However, if not promptly painted and hung your shutters will not age well. Wood shutters will absorb moisture from the ground and warp or rot if left sitting on the ground. If left unpainted in the sun they can warp or crack. Because we cannot ensure the proper care of your shutters we cannot warranty your shutters against these effects. But if you have properly cared for your shutters and have still experienced what you feel is a defect of manufacture or materials please call us and let us know about your experience. Sometimes this field information alerts us to problems with batches of materials that we cannot be aware of. If we find that your shutters are part of a class failure we will replace them. And thank your for letting us know.
