Raised Panel

Construction

We offer the option for a real Cedar or Pine, Extira® panel combination shutter. Extira® is a panel product that resists moisture, rot and termites and offers excellent performance in exterior environments. It can be used in any non-structural paint-grade exterior application and provides a smooth finish without knots, cracks, or other imperfections; which allows paint to adhere evenly. To find out more about Extira®, please click on any of the Extira® links.

Advantages

Raised Panel shutters made with real wood and an Extira® panel combination are less expensive, less susceptible to water, rot and insect damage, and easier to maintain than all louver shutters. Raised Panel shutters are cost effective because they are easier to build and require less material.  This style of wood shutter is the ideal way to economically increase the curb appeal and overall look of your home.

Options

Raised Panel shutters can be purchased with the following standard options:

Center rail at 50/50 split:    no charge
Center rail at 60/40 split:    no charge
Horns:                                    no charge

In addition to the above standard options, Raised Panel shutters can be built with one or more of these custom options:

  • Custom top, middle or bottom rail widths
  • Custom stile width
  • Reinforced plywood panel backing for storm shutters
